I’d like to talk about my internship experience.
I was a summer intern in a big computer science company in Beijing last year.
I had a mixed feeling on my first day there. I mean, I was super thrilled, but part of me was also pretty nervous. I wanted to make a good first impression, but I was not sure whether my character would be accepted there. I smiled to everyone I met, and I just behaved as politely as I could.
Anyway, my duty was to do some entry-level job, like run some errands for others.
And one day, the leader of my group asked me to send a file to my manager, but he gave me the wrong one by mistake. When I arrived at my manager’s office and handed it to him, he was pretty angry. I was really confused at first, and later I realized maybe it was my leader who made a mistake. However, I was just a newbie / rookie, it would be inappropriate for me to talk back to him or argue with him. Plus, no one would believe me.
So the whole time, I had to be polite to my manager, and admit that it was my fault and I promised it wouldn’t happen again.
如果要说“丢掉的重要物品”,那么就稍微改编一下就好了哇!我们从送file那里说起:
And one day, the leader of my group asked me to send a file to my manager, however, at that time, I was also holding a file full of waste paper, and when I walked past the trash can, I accidentally threw away the file that was supposed to be given to my manager. And the worst part is, I didn’t realize that until I arrived at his office.
I hurried back to the trash can, but it was already empty. I even asked the cleaning lady whether she had seen any files.
This experience has taught me a big lesson. I definitely need to be more careful in the future.
