“社畜”用英语该怎么说？可别翻译成 company’s animal......

　　如今大家自嘲的“打工人”、“社畜”但你知道这些词用英语怎么说吗?在英语里其实也有对应的词不要简单地翻译成worker或者Laborer了哦~这些词都有不同的含义~

　　office worker

　　打工人

　　“打工人”一词走红于一个名叫“抽象带篮子”的网红，他用黑色幽默的方式故意吹捧自己打工人、保安、大专生的身份，之后在互联网被广泛运用。

　　在英语里对应翻译为office worker，这个词在剑桥词典里解释为：a person who does their job in an office rather than in a factory, etc. 即在办公室坐着办公的人。

　　Office workers are seated for much of the day and have few opportunities for activity.

　　上班族一天中大部分时间都是坐着，很少有机会活动。

　　My uncle is an office worker of medium.

　　我叔叔是一名中等收入的上班族。

　　corporate slave

　　社畜

　　“社畜”这个词是从日语しゃちく翻译过来的，是日本用于形容上班族的贬义词，指在公司很顺从地工作，被公司当作牲畜一样压榨的员工，多用于自嘲。

　　“社畜”在英语里对应的英文是corporate slave，直译便是公司的奴隶，还有一个比较形象的描述：Corporate slaves are easily identifiable by the vacant look in their eyes as they are always overworked, underpaid and underappreciated.(从空洞的眼神就能识别“社畜”，因为他们总是工作过度，报酬不足，不受重视。)

　　In corporate culture one is forced to obey order, corporate slave has to do particular task/target at any hook or crook.

　　在企业文化中，人们被迫服从命令，社畜必须不择手段地完成特定的任务/目标。

　　“社畜”特征

　　1. 每天晚上的睡眠时间少于平均6小时。

　　2. 日常工作之一是在你到达时打开地灯，在你离开时关闭。

　　3. 从未参加过你女儿的舞蹈表演。

　　4. 不记得上次休息是什么时候，更不用说和家人一起度假了。

　　5. 经常为自己的表现而焦虑，或者说为经理对自我的表现的看法而焦虑。

　　6. 觉得你无法向经理、人力资源部门或同事倾诉不满。

　　7. 无法保持工作和生活的平衡。

　　migrant即“有迁徙特性的”，维基里解释为：A migrant worker is a person who either migrates within their home country or outside it to pursue work. Migrant workers usually do not have the intention to stay permanently in the country or region in which they work. migrant worker即背井离乡外出打工的人，例如我们熟悉的农民工等。

　　wage slave

　　薪奴

　　wage是指“薪水”， wage slave 即指“薪奴”，在英语里解释为：someone who must work so they can earn enough money to live on and pay for the things they need(必须工作的人，这样他们才能赚到足够的钱来生活和支付他们需要的东西。)

　　High mortgage rates have turned the middle classes into wage slaves.

　　高抵押贷款利率使中产阶级变成了工资奴隶。

　　Laborer

　　劳动者;工人

　　Labor是指从事体力劳动类型的人，特别是在建筑和工厂行业的劳动力。

　　He looks more like a laborer than an artist.

　　他看上去不像一个画家，倒像一个劳工。

　　通勤者，经常乘公共车辆往返者

　　通常是指someone who regularly travels between work and home，规律性的往返于工作地点和家之间的人。

　　She accidentally stepped on his foot on a crowded commuter train.
